Pit Stops

1.      **Pit Stops**: Identify the important milestones along your journey. These could include specific courses, internships, research opportunities, or extracurricular activities that will help you reach your destination.

I would like to get an internship working in publishing at some point before I graduate. I haven't properly looked into the different internship options yet, but likely working as an intern for a journal or magazine company would be the most impactful for hands on learning about the reality of publishing and how competitive the business can be.

I want to focus a lot on writing courses to improve my own grammar and spelling, I can't critique others if I can't write myself, as well as communications courses to help me with the more technical side of the work force. My mom handles all the HR work for my old high school and the degrees she got in order to do so were Communications and English.

Another good opportunity for me to grow during my time at Trinity is tutoring other students in English. For right now I'm helping some of my younger cousins with writing, but later on I would like to try helping out my peers when I can too.
