Where are you right now in your academic journey? Describe your current major, interests, and any relevant experiences that have shaped your academic identity

Between classes and homework I don't have a lot of time to spend with friends, so meal times are one of the biggest social activities in my life right now. Me and my friends meet to chat about classes and help each other with homework in the cafeteria. On top of that, being in school and living alone for the first time, it can be hard to remember to go out and get food, or too eat healthy. So I've been taking a lot of vitamins since I moved in here.
I've been spending a lot of time drawing and writing in my dorms. I love art so I want to keep up with it while I'm studying. When I was preparing to come to university I learned that it was important to make time for your hobbies in order to create an escape from the stress of classes so I brought a lot of different art projects and books with me when I moved in. Me and my friends have also been spending a lot of time exploring all around Langley and we've definitely created memories that will last us a lifetime.
I am in my first semester of my first year at Trinity Western University. Originally I enrolled with the intention of pursuing a degree in Psychology, but I switched my major over to General Studies and am working on minors in Media + Communications and English. When I was accepted into Trinity I applied for the Torch scholarship, so my parents are encouraging me to take all the classes I'm interested in and experiment until I find the subject I love.

Living alone is one of the most exciting things I've ever gotten to do. But it's also a bit intimidating. Staying on top of my work, going to sleep at a reasonable time, and making sure I'm getting enough healthy food in my diet is something that I had to work to get on top of at first. And admittedly I still struggle from time to time to get all my work done and manage my time wisely.
